When I was 12 years old, I began building hifi systems using income from a paper route.   Ironically, my designs incorporated the use of tubes and  Lafayette single drivers.   I always had an audio hobby simmering on the back burner.  In my apprentice years I worked for a SpeakerLab job shop in Seattle making parts for speakers and doing a few prosound PA gigs. 

Twenty years of designing and building high end millwork and office furniture led me to a fork in the road: "what to do for the next 20 years?". One day I simply changed my business plans and decided to do what I love.  In 2001, after a few years of turning up the heat on my hobby, I began to manufacturer high efficiency loudspeakers of my own design. Since then, Cain & Cain Co. has been engaged in production of  designs that reflected my passion.  In addition, we also build the audio cabinetry of some of the worlds leaders in audio, as an OEM supplier of exotic veneered cabinetry.
